Some updates for you all!
Yet again I’ve been a bit MIA but all for good reason! Lots has been going on in the background…
Starting with beginning a new job. I have been working really hard to fully launch Cambridgeshire Music For Wellbeing over the last few months, and whilst some of this is still in the works, I have made significant progress.
This month I have been able to go down to part time at the Highfield Academies and work 2 days a week for CMFW. This currently encompasses 1.5 days freelance for Cambridge Acorn Project across various settings, and then some private practice with individual clients, a care home and there is a potential school in the works.
Working for myself has proven to be the right decision for me, but it has been and will continue to be a learning curve when it comes to administration, account management and marketing. I love the variety in client demographic and work focus, and I am enjoying learning more business management, but its a lot for just one person to do!
Next on the agenda:
We have two events coming up in the next couple months!
The Bar Hill Summer Fair
This will see a debut performance from ‘Meret’ the Bar Hill Community Choir. We will be performing at 3:30pm on the 13th of July in the church. For more details please see the ‘News’ page
CMFW presents: The Muses Fundraiser Concert
On the 3rd of August, CMFW will be hosting a charity concert at The Blue Moon pub in Cambridge city centre. Doors will open to the public at 7pm with music starting at 7:30pm. Again, for further information, please see the ‘News’ page.
Lots of exciting things in the works! And I hope you can be there to support us along the way to making CMFW a successful organisation that provides the essential support to the community.
Lots of love
