Rachael is a Music Therapist, music teacher, singer and songwriter from the UK.

Rachael Gow started showing an interest in music from a young age, working towards pursuing a career in music from the start.

She has degree qualifications in Music from The University of York, and a specialised masters in Music Therapy from Anglia Ruskin University. Rachael was awarded the prize for best major project whilst studying her masters. She also has other credentials in music performance such as grade 8 singing and holds a national title for tuned percussion.

Rachael began writing music in her early teens and was given the opportunity to begin recording her music during her early twenties. This is something she continues to work on, writing new music for release in the near future.

HCPC Registered Music Therapist and Neurologic Music Therapy Affiliate

Music Therapy.

Rachael qualified and is registered with the HCPC as a music therapist in July of 2022. She began her private practice in January 2024 by creating Cambridgeshire Music For Wellbeing.

Rachael has undertaken several further training courses in specialist music therapy areas such as the MATADOC Assessment used for patients with disorders of consciousness run by Dr Wendy Magee, and Neurologic Music Therapy Training run by Dr Michael Thaut.

Music Teaching.

Rachael has been a music teacher for several years. With experience teaching graded singing, piano and theory as well as song-writing.

Rachael began teaching singing during her undergraduate days and hasn’t stopped since. Rachael feels sharing her love of music and educating the next generations in music and the versatility of it. Rachael continued teaching online during the pandemic lockdowns. So should you need flexibility with your lessons, this is something she can provide.
